From the Desk of the President
It is my greatest delight to welcome you to the official website of the Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers (IAPM) the umbrella body for investment practitioners in Nigeria and the promoters of the Association of Corporate and Individual Investment Advisers of Nigeria (CIIA), the only Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved Trade group for investment advisers. I took over as the sixth President of our revered Association to contribute to the development and legacy of my predecessors, Late Dr. Gamaliel O. Onosode OFR, Fiapm, FCIB, FCIS, Hon.DSc. (OAU & Benin), Chief Ajibola Ogunshola Fiapm, FIA, BSc., Late Mr. Felix Akpe Fiapm, FCIS, MBA, Dr. Olufemi Oyetunji Fiapm, FIA, Ph.D and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Folashade Sanni Fiapm, FCIS, FICS, LLB, LLM. Since 1981 these great men and woman have laid a solid foundation for the growth of the Association covering 39 years of excellent achievements of corporate existence. With the birth of CIIA whose core mandates are to regulate and deepening the investment advisory business in Nigeria, IAPM will focus on human capital development, advocacy on investment practice and strategic partnerships with professional bodies and the regulators for new innovations, ethical standards as well as ensuring harmonisation and consistency of policies to promote the health and sustainability and developments of the market; and with the support the highly experienced members of the governing Council of the institute, I am committed to leveraging on this impeccable pedigree, the lofty ideals of our great institution and the growing membership to accelerate the growth of our esteemed Association.
