Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers (IAPM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) of United Kingdom, to serve as the institute’s Accredited Training Partner (ATP) on 15th October, 2019 after a pain-taken processes in line with the policies and standards of Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

The CISI is the largest professional body for the financial service practitioners within the investment industry in Europe. It has a range of globally recognised qualifications and support individuals through membership from student level to the pinnacle of their careers. It ensures that products and services rendered to its members and the financial industry are up to date, relevant and meet the needs of the ever-changing financial services industry landscape.

IAPM mission is to protect investments by equipping its members and the investment community with requisite knowledge and discipline to enable them provide professional and sound investment advisory to investment organisations under the highest ethical standards, devoid of conflicts and/abuse, thereby preventing unwholesome conducts and practices by other service providers. The Association in furtherance of these objectives has over the years conducted hundreds of training courses, workshops, seminars and examinations for certificated programmes of international standard leading to the Associate of the institution, which is well recognised by market regulators and operators as well as the public sector.

It is therefore a perfect partnership of two institutions from different geographical locations and market experiences with similar mission and focus to promote common interest in providing quality professional knowledge and qualifications of international standards to Nigeria financial market operators.

By this partnership, IAPM will serve as Accredited Training Partner (ATP) for all the stages of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment in addition to having exclusive APT for the CISI’s Chartered wealth management, the pinnacle wealth management qualification offered by CISI. The CISI will also be able to deliver its wide range of financial training products to the Nigeria market through IAPM training platform.
